This wine is bottled at the coveted Bordeaux winery Chateau Rauzan in the renowned appellation of Margaux. Smooth and rich from a terrific vintage, the 2012. A remarkably terrific Bordeaux, especially at this price. Aromas of blackcurrant, cassis and wild blackberry. Dark spice on the finish. Pair with a rare steak.

Food pairings: chicken herb-rubbed roast, breaded veal cutlets, lamb burgers, spicy sausage.

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Divine aromas in the glass that capture the terroir and classic precision of the world renowned Margaux expression. Dark fruit and earthiness on the nose, rich flavors of cassis, blackcurrant and blackberry with a lingering pepper finish.
A remarkably terrific Bordeaux, especially at this price. Fabulous vintage. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes from the Margaux region, this Bordeaux is typical of that terroir with aromas of blackcurrant, cassis and wild blackberry. Dark spice on the finish. Pair with a rare steak. - Community Wine Reviews
