Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Elegant and rich on the nose with savory aromas of plum, dark berries, earthiness and a touch of vanilla. The palate does not disappoint with well integrated layers and notable tannins. Spicy and complex, the flavors are mirrored from the nose - stewed blackberry, cinnamon, herbaceous - still young and should age well.
Wineboy rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Great wines can be found even in the poorer vintages. I guess all the bad weather missed the source of this wine. Beautiful garrigue aromas, lifted candied fruit with noted animal aromas (perhaps from Mourvedre). A great wine - a great buy.
Another great full-bodied Vacqueyras red produced by the Lavau family. The 2014 vintage of the Vacqueyras is a blend of 50% Grenache, 40% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre grapes. In the early 1960s, the Lavau winemaking family left St-Émilion in Bordeaux and moved to the Rhône Valley. Brothers Benoit and Frédéric Lavau partner with 300 grape growers in the region to make their wines. This robust southern French red wine offers blackberry liqueur aromas and richness on the nose and palate, with a pleasant savoury and smoky finish. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
