From Santa Margherita, Lamole di Lamole Blue Label 2019 Chianti Classico is a full-bodied, vibrant and elegant red wine blend of 85% Sangiovese with the balance in Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The finished wine spent six months in oak casks, then aged for a further six months in a mix of French oak barrels with various toasts. Look for fresh flavours of ripe dark cherry, plum, dried wild herbs and spicy notes balanced with vibrant food-friendly acidity. Enjoy with a roast leg of lamb.

Chianti Classico food pairings: prime rib steak done rare, lamb souvlaki, game burgers.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Very pretty and bright with aromas of red cherries, dried herbs and a hint of smoke. Some Cabernet and Merlot in this blend gives a nice body to this wine. Full bodied on the palate with medium+ acidity, and dry tannins, bright and tart fruit notes and a peppery, spicy finish. Enjoy with pan-seared duck.
