A spectacular Californian Cabernet that tastes like a cult classic but without the price tag. Aromas of fleshy black plum, blackberry and cigar box. Decant 1-2 hours and pair with a rare steak. Highly recommended.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: grilled bison strip steaks, spice-braised lamb, stuffed pork chops.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

From Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, California a Cab Sauv that's very dark purple, with aromatic dark berries, spice and dark chocolate. Rich palate reveals layers of ripe dark berry fruit, vanilla, mint and anise with velvety texture and soft tannins. A great Valentine's Day wine for a Cab lover.
Tasted Jan. 2017
Lake Sonoma Winery 2014 is a California classic Cabernet Sauvignon, and reasonably priced as well. The grapes for this juicy cool-climate Californian wine from Sonoma's Alexander Valley are hand-picked. Decant one to two hours prior to serving and pair with a rare steak. Highly recommended. Drink by 2022. - Community Wine Reviews
