Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Clean nose with subtle tropical fruit. Lots of sweet, ripe, juicy fruit on the palate. Smooth and round mouthfeel with perceived sweetness here. This is sure to appeal to a large audience. It is a perfect summer sipper on its own. It would also complement sweet seafood like scallops, crab or lobster. Tasted June 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Rebecca Meir-Liebman - Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This Chenin Blanc is a fruity and fresh medium bodied wine with hints of apricots, yellow apples, peaches and under tones of pineapple and minerals. It has some sweetness (Demi Sec) and should therefore be enjoyed in slightly cooler temperatures than other dry white wines. A wine that is quite decent for the price point - enjoy in its youth to appreciate the freshness.
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Mix of apple, pear, and peach with a noticeable acetic note. Lightly offdry, approachable with adequate acidity. Match with chicken, turkey, or pork dishes.
From Maison Foucher, La Vigne Des Sablons 2017 is a mouth-watering off-dry Vouvray produced from 100% Chenin Blanc from the Loire wine region. Light gold in the glass with aromas of soft orange and briny mineral notes on the nose. Fresh, vibrant on the palate with green apple, citrus zest and mineral flavours. Great acidity for food. Pair with crab cakes, garlic aioli. Maison Foucher is a “Petit Négociant” from the Loire. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
