Loaded with toasty oak and black, tarry fruit. Mocha and coffee on the nose of this full-bodied red wine, followed by black plums on the palate and a tannic grip. Decant 1-2 hours. Try it with hamburgers.

Malbec food pairings: pepperoni pizza, beef, turkey, hamburgers, cheddar.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

This wine has a deep ruby colour and lots of legs on the glass. There is some strong new oak on the nose along with some tart red fruit and a bit of peppery spice. The tartness of fruit shows up on the palate as well as the oak. Very full bodied with a medium to long finish. The tannins are young but mellow out after decanting. A great BBQ wine!
Angel Paulucci immigrated to Argentina from Italy when he was 21 years old. and he started growing Malbec in 1953. Black fruit, chocolate and oak dominate. This is a Laura Catena Selection. - Community Wine Reviews
