Sonoma Coast vineyards enjoy a long, cool growing season due to the moderating influence of the Pacific Ocean, and its fogs and winds that blow inland. This is perfect for slowly ripening grapes to develop complex flavours and nuances without lots of sugar that translates to heavy alcohol. Classic Californian Chardonnay with toast, oak and green apple on the nose. Full-bodied, and generously layered. Generous flavours of pear and peach on the palate with a long, dry finish and a hint of wild white flowers in a spring rain. Perfect for roast chicken or mild curries.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Luscious tropical fruit, slight lemon and vanilla on the nose invite you to taste the rich buttery palate as it repeats with ripples of flavour, adding oak and a hint of smoke. Full-bodied with a long buttery tropical finish. Unforgettable.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Always one of my favourite Sonoma Chardonnays. A brilliant medium lemon colour with an intense nose of citrus, tree fruit, toast and toffee. The palate is creamy with medium+ balanced acidity. The nose repeats on the palate with additions of smoke, butter, white blossoms and honey. A gorgeous wine. Sip on it's own or enjoy with an assorted cheese and nut plate, seafood/shellfish, roasted turkey.
Tasted: May 2015
This wine is matured in both new and seasoned French and American oak for seven months which rounds out the package with a toasty finish. The ocean breeze along with morning fog cool the vines and grapes on Sonoma Coast for long, slow ripening. Pair with breaded chicken. - Community Wine Reviews
