Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Located in the Peljesac Peninsula region of Orebic - overlooking the sea is Korta Katarina winery and villa. This wine, made from Plavac Mali is a descendent of Zinfandel. A deep ruby colour with an invigorating bouquet reflecting many of the flowers, fruits and earthy herbs ask grown nearby. Dried cherries, leather and an abundance of earthy garrigue-like herbal infusions found here. Flavour echo this with dark plum chutney, stewed cherries and boisterous baking spices. Tannins are firmly based but allow an introduction to the velvety texture and matching full body with a big full finish. This would be a good pairing for open flamed grilled tomahawk steak and mushrooms.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
