A great value Vouvray from the Loire produced by Justin Monmousseau. Produced from 100% Chenin Blanc, the wine fresh on the nose with ripe stone fruit, lanolin and dried pineapple aromas, off-dry with ripe peach, tropical fruit notes and lemon pudding flavours finishing long and zesty on the palate.

Vouvray food pairings: grilled calamari, steamed mussels, crab cakes.

Reviews and Ratings

Trent Mayers rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Lovely off dry Chenin Blanc from the Loire Valley here. It just a shade over medium bodied with good acidity. Expect apricots, yellow apple, minerals, and honeycomb finishing with a little lemon pith. Saute some shrimp in butter and enjoy.
From the Loire wine region, Justin Monmousseau 2017 is produced from 100% Chenin Blanc grapes from the Touraine region in the central Loire Valley. Great value under $20. Off-dry with ripe stone fruit, dried pineapple and citrus blossom and beeswax flavours mouth-filling on the palate and matched and balanced with refreshing acidity. - Community Wine Reviews
