A stunningly great wine for the money! Elegant and Old World classic styling yet lots of power and concentration of fleshy dark fruit under the hood. Perfect for all your parties. Back up the truck and load up the cases. Also pair with barbecued or grilled meats.

Food pairings: lamb chop casserole, stuffed breast of veal, roast chicken.

Walter rated this wine as 82/100
Grapes for the wine were planted in Douro schist soils and there is structure, depth and minerality on the wine. Tannins are still quite firm and grippy. Great promise here, but the wine could spend a bit of time in cellar to help the fruit come to the fore and the wine to evolve and mature. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
