Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This pale yellow sparkling wine has aromas of crunchy red delicious apple, peach, melon, mineral notes, pineapple, honey, and hints of sweet spice, vanilla, and almond.

It is medium bodied and dry on the palate with crisp acidity. It has some richness with lots of minerality and flavours of orchard fruit, red apple, lime, pineapple, and a slightly bitter almond finish. The flavours linger.

Tasted February 2019.

WINE-FOOD PAIRING: Good on its own but would also pair well with Asian food
Jean Geiler is a well-priced traditional method Crémant D'alsace from that wine region. Look for ripe red apple, citrus zest, backed goods on the palate. Finishes clean with mineral and zesty citrus flavours. Great acidity for food, pair with coquilles St. Jacques. This cremant was awarded Gold in the 2017 Concours Général Paris, 2017. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
