Fresh cut grass and gooseberry on the nose and palate of this nervy New Zealand white wine. Tasty sauvignon blanc with a nice balance between citrus and herbal notes. Medium-bodied.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: seafood pasta in an alfredo sauce.

Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Produced by Jackson Estate, this Sauvignon Blanc 2015, from the Marlborough region of New-Zealand, which happens to be one of the best region in the world to grow sauvignon blanc, shows pungent aromas of passion fruit, lime, grapefruit, asparagus, lemon grass and salt. Revealing flavors of green apple, lemon, asparagus, green herbs, salt and mineral, this wines combines a lengthy citrus and mineral finish. Vibrant and refreshing, with lovely acidity, this light-bodied wine is a perfect accompaniment to your favorite seafood dish, and will surely please the connaisseur of sauvignon blanc. Enjoy.
Jackson Estate Stich (2015) is a light and lifted citrus and gooseberry Sauvignon Blanc from South Island Marlborough. The Jackson and Stichbury families have farmed the Wairau river plains for more than 160 years. The vines for this wine were planted in the Homestead Vineyard in 1989 and are made in small batches. Drink now and for the next couple of years. - Community Wine Reviews
