Black fruit and smoke on the nose of this robust BC red wine blend of 60% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. It was aged 12 months in French and American oak. The grapes come from a 22 acre vineyard in the southern Okanagan Valley known as the Golden Mile. Pair with a grilled steak.

Meritage food pairings: steak, hamburgers, lamb.

Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Beautiful to pair with a BBQ steak, this well balanced Okanagan meritage blend is ready to enjoy. Pair with roasted / grilled red meats, gourmet burgers, or Tex mex. Medium full body, silky smooth medium tannins. Ruby red gem. Tasted the 2015 vintage in April 2019. 90 points

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
