Reviews and Ratings

Craig Haynes WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This predominately pinot noir blend delivers the goods for admirers of southern Ontario rosé. This mouth-watering creation from the Niagara Peninsula appellation showed beautiful red fruit aromas and flavours – especially strawberry and cherries – framed with touches of appealing minerality. Adding to the experience was this wine’s eye-catching pale salmon colour, medium bodied palate and modest finish. Overall, a beautiful rosé from Hidden Bench. Enjoy.

Hidden Bench Locust Lane 2019 is a pale salmon colour in the glass, fresh on the nose with pink grapefruit, red berries vibrant and creamy on the palate with cherry, raspberry, fine herb and a lingering savoury finish. Produced from mostly Pinot Noir wine grapes, the rosé is a combination of both ‘direct to press’ and “saignée” techniques for the final blend. Fermented in neutral French oak barrels and aged for five months prior to racking, blending and bottling. - Community Wine Reviews
