Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

What a fresh, fruity and tasty bubble! Hester Creek Estate Winery’s Ti Amo 2019 is the winery’s first sparkling wine. Prosecco..ish in style, Ti Amo is produced from mostly Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer wine grapes with a kiss of Semillon. Fragrant with fresh Bartlett pear, white florals, dried herbs and zesty citrus aromas, the frizzante is just barely dry with a delicate and creamy mousse of fresh pear, dried fine herbs and soft citrus zest flavours that linger and play on the palate.

Grapes are hand-picked early from the winery’s Oliver estate to retain fruit freshness and natural acidity. Produced in classic Charmat-Martinotti method, secondary fermentation lasts for 30 days in stainless-steel tank. This is a fresh and fun bubble easy to enjoy on its own or with salads and lighter fare like fresh-steamed shellfish and party pinwheels.

The Martinotti method was developed and patented by Federico Martinotti at the Experimental Institute for Enology in Asti in 1895. About 15 years later, Eugène Charmat worked with the Martinotti method to build and patent the autoclaves that are still used in the process today and is often referred to as the Charmat method or the Charmat-Martinotti method.
Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Shimmering pale gold in colour, the 2019 Ti Ano offered scents of crisp green apple, fresh blooms and light minerality. Mid weight and refreshing, the palate’s attractive flavour profile featured white orchard tree fruits, white grapefruit and fleshy peach. Crafted in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley appellation by Hester Creek Estate Vineyards and their 50+ years of experience in that wine producing region. Enjoy.
