Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Hester Creek Estate Winery’s Old Vine Pinot Blanc 2025 is absolutely stunning! The winery claims that the 2025 season at Hester Creek "will go down as one of the best vintages the Okanagan Valley has seen to date,” and I agree, because all their 2025 white wines are spectacular!

This Pinot Blanc is rich on the nose with baked pie pastry, rich apple, cinnamon, soft citrus, notes of stone fruit and a lemon curd finish that lingers with a kiss of white pepper lush and long to the end. Dry, medium-bodied and beautifully balanced with bright acidity, and while not lean, it is not fat either but rather smooth and silky on the palate. Lovely now with a sautéed Atlantic salmon filet done in lemon butter, chill it up and enjoy it though 2028+. Tasted June 2026.

From the Winemaker: "This fresh and fragrant Old Vine Pinot Blanc was grown exclusively on our Golden Mile Bench vineyard. The grapes were hand-harvested from our historic block 4 on September 18, 2025, destemmed and pressed that same day. The juice was cold settled for one day before being racked into stainless steel tanks. The Aromaloc was utilized during a slow cool fermentation to help preserve the lush aromatics and flavours of this outstanding vintage."

This vintage was awarded Double Gold and Best of Class Win and Best of Show Win at the 2026 Pacific Rim Wine Competition.
