A blockbuster BC red wine blend of old vines Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes planted in 1968. This is a limited edition wine. Aromas of cigar box, fleshy ripe black plums, blackberries, smoke and toasty oak. This baby needs cellar time. Then decant 1-2 hours and enjoy with a rare steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Amazing, robust amd powerful!! This is a beautiful Bordeaux style wine with more Cabernet Sauvignon (70%) than the previous vintage, along with 13.5% Merlot, 7.5 Petit Verdot, 5.5% Malbec and 3.5% Cabernet Franc. Aromas include dark plum and blackberries, eucalyptus, cigar tobacco, leather and smoky campfire. Full bodied, smooth on the palate after decanting, with velvety fruit, medium acidity and a smoky, leathery finish. Delicious! Enjoy in front of the fire or accompanying a decadent prime rib.
