Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby in the glass with an intense nose of baked cherry pie, pink florals, violets, raspberry and pink cotton candy. On the palate, the Gamay is dry, medium to medium-plus-bodied with a juicy mouthful of kirsch, smoked bacon, dark berry and white pepper flavours finishing long, spicy and mouth-watering. Tannins are structured and fine. An excellent Gamay now, but what I have experienced with other Harper’s Trail Winery wines is their ability to evolve and age in bottle. So buy it by the case because it will continue to come together during the next couple of years, but by then there will be no more of this vintage. Enjoyed with a rosemary and sage-rubbed roast chicken and a wild mushroom duxelles. Available winery-direct. Tasted October 2020.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
