Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Dark purple in the glass. Everything about this wine is big - fruity, spicy nose and palate to match. Palate is almost overpowered by the alcohol. Best enjoyed with food.Tasted April 2019.
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Blackberry, black cherry, and cherry candies on the nose and palate. Ripe, medium body, drying tannins. Mild hints of cocoa in the finish. A friend of grilled foods, try with burgers, steak, or veggies on the barbecue.
Hardy's Tintara Geology 2016 is one in a series of wines focusing on the soils of the McLaren Vale. A full-bodied Shiraz with ripe dark cherry, dark chocolate and savoury spice flavours on the palate. Tannins are rounded. Enjoy now and for the next five years with a grilled New York striploin steak. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
