Savoury, juicy with grilled meat aromas and flavours on this blockbuster big southern French red wine that's a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah grapes. Oenologist Philippe Cambie and winemaker Michael Gassier are experimenting with grapes planted at different elevations in the southern Rhone Valley. Full-bodied and juicy with smoky black fruit aromas and flavours. Pair with veal, pork chops and duck.

Food pairings: lamb, grilled pork chops, pepper steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This full bodied wine has aromas of juicy black plums, earthy beets, red licorice, and sweet spice.

On the palate, it has dark berry flavours with hints of spice, structured tannins, and a long espresso finish.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
