Taste to see what a decade of patience yields in the glass. Benchmark Veneto red wine. In 2012, founder Giuseppe Quintarelli died at the age of 84. His legacy lives on though, especially in the Quintarelli. The 2008 vintage offers tanned leather, dried herbs and smoke. A towering, blockbuster Italian red wine. Rich black cherry liqueur and dark spice aromas with layers of full-bodied goodness on the palate. A long, lasting finish. Pair with prime rib. A huge Italian red wine blend meant for hearty meat dishes and game dishes.

Valpolicella Classico food pairings: beef steak, smoked ribs, venison tenderloin.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
