California Chardonnay as good as it gets! Buttery, voluptuous layers of ripe peaches, pears and other tree fruit. No malolactic fermentation so the vibrancy of the fruit character is preserved. A smoky finish.

Reviews and Ratings

Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Very elegant style with passionfruit and a sweet sour note on the nose. Palate is clean and floral, not weighty from the oak, which leaves you with a fresh apple compote finish. Try with swordfish fried in sage olive oil @wrightwineblog
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A very dry Chardonnay that presents medium-gold in the glass with earthy and slight petrol aromas that are often valued in Rieslings. The wine is full-bodied and slightly tannic for a white wine, and its mineraity and nutty finish will pair with firm fish like salmon or tuna.
Grgich Hills Estate Grown 2014 Chardonnay is produced from grapes that are certified organic and Biodynamic. There was no malolactic fermentation on this wine and the wine giving the wine more vibrancy. The wine is aged 10 months in 40% new French oak barrels. - Community Wine Reviews
