Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Greystone has received Decanter's tophy for Pinot Noir of the year twice and winemaker Dom Maxwell has been awarded NZ winemaker of the year as well. Most recently the Vineyard Ferment Pinot Noir 2017 has made Robert Parker's Top 100 Wine Discoveries of 2020. This is an absolutely beautiful wine. The nose is fresh with wet stone, tons of dark plum and spice. The palate is fresh as well where the dark plum is joined by hints of forest floor and sandalwood tones. The finish is very long and satisfying, moving from fruit to distinctive cinnamon notes! This is tremendously satisfying on its own but would also shine beside a rack of lamb or your best beef tenderloin. Tasted 5 May 2022 thewineloverskitchen.com

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
