A gorgeous, balanced, blockbuster of a wine! The 2014 vintage of the Cabernet Sauvignon Latro from Knights Valley is matured 20 months in two-thirds new French oak barrels. It is both unfined and unfiltered. Aromas of ripe black fruit, smoke, and mocha powder. Decant 2 hours. Pair with grilled steak. Wow.

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

An elegant Cab with dark berry and cassis, dark chocolate and herbal notes- smooth and satiny notes lead to a savoury, elegant finish. Decant, then enjoy with game, or prime rib. Great gift wine; sure to please a Cab lover!
Tasted Nov. 2018
Galerie Latro 2014 is a full-bodied 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from grapes sourced in Knights Valley, Sonoma County, California. This richly layered Cab aged 20 months in two-thirds new French oak, then bottled unfined and unfiltered. On the nose this robust red has leather and dried tobacco leaf. On the palate, there is ripe dark fruit, wild mushroom and savoury spice flavours. Latro takes its name from the Latin word for “hunter,” a reference to Knights Valley’s history as a private hunting reserve before the development of vineyards in the area. - Community Wine Reviews
