Reviews and Ratings

Nicole Lewis rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This is one to win over those who say that they never drink rosé! From an Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée that only produces rosés in France (Tavel). This is no shrinking violet of a wine. It is medium-bodied with intense wild salmon pink colour, food-friendly acidity and long, lovely refreshing finish. Not only is your palate graced with melon and strawberry, there is dried savoury spice and a long finish.

This would be well paired with gyoza and ramen.
Jacky Blisson rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

The Gabriel Meffre winery has long standing relationships with high quality growers in Tavel. This Grenache dominant rosé is a pretty, raspberry pink colour, with fresh acidity and lots of vibrant red berry fruit on the nose and palate. Underlying aromas of provençal herbs and floral notes add to the complexity. Tangy and bright, the juicy fruit lingers on the finish. This is an excellent rosé to pair with food. It would work brilliantly with salmon, prawns, chicken and the like.
The renowned region of Gigondas in the southern Rhône is the home of this winery. It uses the Grenache grape mostly along with Syrah and Cinsault to make this spectacular rose. - Community Wine Review.
