Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

I consumed this wine on its 10th birthday, still the best time to open Brunello in my opinion. This wine has so much going on. The red cherry fruit is mixed with dried raspberry, along with orange rind, licorice, fresh and dried mushroom, fresh herbs, scrub, and sasparilla. Insanity category. Catching a Brunello at age 10 means witnessing the crossing of the Rubicon from primary and secondary notes to tertiary characteristics. Eat with roasted veal or something to do with mushrooms. 93 Points.
The 2009 vintage of the Sergio Marchetti Brunello di Montalcino is huge with big black fruit. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
