Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

I want to know how they got a charbroiled ribeye steak, cooked bacon and all the spices that go on it in a bottle of wine? The aromas along on Red Gold 2017 will make you crave a grilled beef steak topped with pan-fried garlic bacon and sautéed wild mushrooms. A beautifully crafted and balanced Bordeaux-style red wine blend of 67% Merlot and 33% Cabernet Franc, savoury on the palate with liquid crushed raspberry, dark plum, smoky savoury herbs, dark spice flavours and a long smooth finish. So good now. Tasted October 2020.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
