Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

What is very different on the 2021 Fort Berens Estate Winery's Chardonnay is the lovely, long and silky mouthfeel on this wine. Not fat, more like a silky caress on the palate showing judicious oak treatment. Dry, medium-bodied, lovely and rounded with medium-plus-intensity acidity and a medium-plus-length that is citrus driven with aromas and flavours of lemongrass, white pear, apple, fresh peaches, apricot, pineapple, nutty, flinty mineral and biscuit notes refreshingly tangy.

Youthful and zesty now, showing finesse and complexity, but will continue to evolve, marry and mellow in bottle. Drink or hold to 2024. Tasted July 2022.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
