Flat Rock Twisted 2019 is terrific value. A dry, full-bodied red blend of Gamay, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir that were vinified and barrel-aged separately. The resulting wine is vibrant and generous on the palate with fresh red berry, black cherry, cracked pepper spice, savoury herb flavours with a touch of smoke on the finish. Tannins are velvety.

Food pairings: barbecued braised chicken, marinated ribs, veggie burgers.

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

The Red Twisted 2019, by Flat Rock Cellars, located in the Niagara wine region, offers a well made and easy drinking red wine for any occasions. Aromas of cherry, strawberry, violet, graphite, spice, dill and cedar. Light body, with soft tannins and acidity and a finish that delivers fruity flavors of plum, cherry, bay leaf, graphite, spice and cedar. Enjoy.
