Reviews and Ratings

Meg Charette - WSET ADV rated this wine as 74/100 with the following review:

Tropical fruit on the nose being cantaloupe, nectarine and pear. Although there is an undeniable, pleasant, overshadowing note of ripened banana that also shines through on the palate. The banana displays its complexity with notes of banana bread and banana popsicles. First sip the palate initially mirrors the nose, which quickly transitions into a raw nuttiness with vanilla almonds, and the banana bread turns into a toasted banana bread generously buttered. The mouth is coated with a rich oiliness, while the tongue gets a tingle from the alcohol. Through the long finish the mouth feel gets more and more dry still maintaining the final flavours of raw nuts, oak and banana bread toast crumbs. May pair well with a juicy chicken breast in a rich alfredo sauce.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
