Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Broad nose of cherry, plum, dried herbs, and just a lick of smoke. Fresh acidity and moderate tannins. Sweet cocoa appears in the finish. A good food wine, serve this with veal and pork dishes.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This is a bit of a fruit blast from the nose through the palate. Pleasant and silky on the palate with good balance. I expect this will have much appeal in the North American market as one of the few Italian wines that are approachable without food. If you are a fan of Italian wine this could be your summer house wine. Tasted June 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Federici Roma Rosso 2017 is a full-bodied red wine blend of Cesanese and Montepulciano. Bright cherry, plum and spicy aromas on the nose, concentrated and spicy on the palate as well with ripe dark fruit, cherry, earthy florals and underbrush flavours on the palate. Tannins are chalky. Pairs well with grilled veal and pork chop dishes. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
