Le Pezze 2015 is a robust Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico. Produced by Farina, the 50% Corvina, 20% Corvinone, 20% Rondinella, 10% Molinara, Oseleta and Turchetta red wine blend is made in the traditional Appassimento method of drying the wine grapes for four months in making Amarone. It is rich and layered with sour cherry, dark cherry liqueur, dried herbs, cocoa and vanilla flavours on the palate. Warming at 15% abv, pair with roast game meats and mature, hard cheeses.

David C. Wong reviewed this wine as follows:

From Stephen Wong
Farina's Le Pezze 2015 is a big, full-bodied Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico from the Veneto Wine Region. The wine is made in the traditional Appassimento method of drying the wine grapes for four months in making Amarone. This ruby red wine blend is 50% Corvina, 20% Corvinone, 20% Rondinella, 10% Molinara, Oseleta and Turchetta. The wine is aged 24 months in 30% French oak barriques and 70% Slavonian oak barrels to marry flavours and mellow the wine prior to bottling. The wine is lush with layers of sour cherry, dark cherry liqueur, dried herbs, cocoa and vanilla flavours on the palate and very warming at 15+% abv. and needs food. Excellent with roast meats and mature hard cheeses. - Community Wine Reviews
