Reviews and Ratings

Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

In my glass, the 2020 Calalenta is a crisp, super dry light bodied Italian rosé with lovely fresh fruity notes from the bouquet to the finish, especially cherries, tangerine, grapefruit. Pleasing beats of river rock minerality accent those aromas and flavours.

Elegant and silky, this rosé is crafted from Merlot harvested in Italy’s Abruzzo region.

I’ll serve this with mussels, scallops and seafood chowders.

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The Calalenta 2020 is a stylish Rosé made by Fantini, that delivers aromas of strawberry, sour cherry, pink grapefruit, rose petal, citrus blossom and green tea. Made from Merlot, this lovely Rosé shows a medium body, with a balanced acidity and a fruity finish. This summer sipper offers flavors of sour cherry, cranberry mandarin orange, citrus zest and pink peppercorn. Serve chilled and enjoy!

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
