From the Rueda wine region, Duquesa De Valladolid 2020 Verdejo is a bone-dry, crisp, clean and mouth-watering Spanish white wine. This Verdejo had a bit of skin contact, so look for ripe yellow apple, fresh pear, a touch of tropical fruit and fine herbs balanced with laser like acidity. Produced from 100% Verdejo from 15 year-old vines. Chill and enjoy with seafood dishes.

Verdejo food pairings: pan-fired pickerel, gravlax, steamed shrimp with lemon butter.

Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

The Duquesa de Valladolid 2020 is your ‘Go To’ patio summer sipper. Made from 100% of Verdejo, the wine reveals aromas of green apple, lemon, apple blossom, lemongrass, saline and asparagus. Born Spanish in Rueda with a Northern African descendance (that’s right, the Verdejo grape originates from Africa), the wine shows a medium body, fresh acidity, and a clear citrus finish. Palate: grapefruit, lemon, asparagus, green herbs, ginger and saline. Enjoy!
