Natalie's Score: 92/100

From the Niagara Peninsula wine region, Domaine Queylus 2018 Cabernet Franc is a stunningly beautiful wine produced by winemaker Thomas Bacheldor. The 2018 vintage is made mostly from Cabernet Franc with a splash of Merlot rounding out this lush and luxurious plushy red with ripe raspberry, cassis, fine dried herbs and flinty mineral flavours long on the palate. Drink or hold. Pour with roast turkey.

Cabernet Franc food pairings: grilled veal Porterhouse steak, Coq au Vin, roasted root vegetables.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Beautiful Cabernet Franc, with 12% Merlot blended in. Aromas of cherry, cassis, and dark plums, with warm spice, mocha and some smoke and mineral hints. Full bodied, with bright acidity on the palate, a mocha-like texture on the palate, and fresh red berry flavours with some mineral and herbal notes on the finish. Enjoy with prime rib.
