Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Made from grapes grown on vines planted in 1901-1902.
Elegant, balanced, aromatic with concentrated cassis, blackberry, vanilla, herbal sage & rosemary notes. Satiny texture with elegant lingering finish. Decant 1-2 hours before dinner, then enjoy with game or roast duck. This could be a great Father's Day gift.
Tasted March 2017
This 2013 Châteauneuf-Du-Pape from Domaine Pierre Usseglio Et Fils is outstanding with its crushed raspberry, savoury, thyme and lavender herbs and toasty palate. Easy to understand and drink, tannins are soft and acidity is balanced. The wine blend for the CNDP is 60% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 25% in Mourvèdre and Cinsault, matured in secondary oak. - Community Wine Reviews
