I love really tart, almost sour, Old World Pinot Noir. It whets the appetite and is great with many dishes, but you have to be prepared for the acidity. This one offers attractive aromas of tart cherries, cranberries and some herbal notes. Try it with roast chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This lovely Bourgogne Pinot Noir is a holiday in a glass! It's a dark garnet red, with enticing aromas of vanilla, earth, kid leather, tart cherries and cranberries, caramel and a suggestion of salty sea air. The palate repeats these and adds a spicey element of rosemary and lavender. Balanced acidity and a very long salted caramel finish make this a wine to savour. I'd definitely buy this again. An excellent choice for those upcoming holiday dinners or anytime at all.

This producer is situated in the heart of the Cote de Nuits, atop the sloping vineyards of Nuits-Saint-Georges that reach heights of 400 metres above sea level. A mix of limestone and marl subsoil adds further complexity and minerality to the vines that enjoy optimal exposures. - Winery

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
