Reviews and Ratings

Although the vine has been cultivated here for centuries, if not millennia, the Saumur- Champigny we know today is very much a modern creation ... a vibrant, fresh, mineral-stony-perfumed red. - Source: Chris Kissack, thewinedoctor.com. Bursting with red cherry, pomegranate, floral notes and a touch of beetroot, this wine, built around the Cabernet Franc grape. OTHER: The property this wine comes from is named for founding partners (also husband and wife) Edouard Langlois and Jeanne Château. This 2016 Saumur-Champigny shows good freshness and character with lots of cherry, plum, smoke and toast tones, plus touches of earth and forest floor. Try it with duck à l'orange. (Vintages panel, Nov. 2018). - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
