Vibrant with a hint of floral notes. Medium-bodied and juicy acidity. Lovely Chardonnay with a splash of Viognier for that lime blossom lift through the mid-palate.

Chardonnay Viognier food pairings: grilled shrimp, fresh steamed lobster and crab, vegetarian pizza.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

A Chardonnay (95%) Viognier (5%) blend offering many fruity and floral elements. Pale lemon colour with medium intense aromas of apples, peaches, apricot, and hay along with a few poppy floral notes.
On the palate - dried apple, yellow plum and yellow bell pepper met with some herbaceous and mineral touches. Medium plus acidity, body and finish. Off dry, with sweetness at the end.

This is a white wine to keep an eye on. From Domaine Lafage Cadireta (2015) this Chardonnay, Viognier white wine blend from the Côtes Catalanes in the Roussillon wine region is rounded with ripe stone fruit, white blossoms and slightly honeyed. Produced from 95% Chardonnay and 5% Viognier in steel tank, the wine was aged on Sauvignon Blanc lees. Very fresh with ripe fruit and crisp acidity.
