Reviews and Ratings

Blackened, charred dark fruit, smoke, tar and cigar box on the nose and palate of this huge French red wine that weights in at 15% alcohol and shows it. Pair with T-Rex burgers. MINE: From the Châteauneuf-Du-Pape appellation in the Rhône wine region, Domaine Du Grand Tinel (2012) is a very big and robust red at 15% abv. Dark fruit, spice, smoke and cigar box, the wine is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre wine grapes sourced from the La Gardiole and Palestor lieux-dits. Drink now and for the next five years. OTHER: Grand Tinel's charming, forward 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape is a solid value for drinking over the next decade or so. It features subtle cinnamon and nutmeg aromas, modest cherry fruit, plush tannins and some leathery notes on the silky finish. It's a classic blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre. Drink Date: 2017-2027. Score - 92 (Joe Czerwinski, robertparker.com, Oct. 31, 2017). - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
