A dry, silky Pinot Noir with Old World elegance. Fresh, dark red cherry aromas on the nose, mouth-watering on the palate with juicy acidity. Youthful, with rich dark cherry, bright red berry, fresh herbs and toasty oak spice flavours on the palate. Pair with roast and grilled lamb dishes.

Pinot Noir food pairings: veal chops, grilled duck sausages, pork tenderloin, barbecued lamb sirloin, grilled carrot mash and spring greens purée.

Reviews and Ratings

Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

Elegance personified. Pure crushed cherries, juicy fresh red fruits. Beautiful oak adding an elegance while not over powering the delicate yet concentrated palate. Try with pan fried veal with pine nuts and currants @wrightwineblog
Domaine Drouhin 2016 Pinot Noir is a benchmark PN for the Dundee Hills, Willamette Valley wine region. Dry, medium-plus-bodied and plushy on the palate with dried florals, violets, earthy spice flavours and toasty oak spice finishing long on the palate. Excellent now and for the next five years. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
