From the Rhône wine region, Delas Saint-Esprit 2020 is a great value 40% Grenache, 40% Syrah and 20% Cinsault red wine blend under $20. Dry, medium-bodied and fresh with violets, bright raspberry, spiced cherry, orange zest and savoury herbs lush and juicy on the palate. Drinking beautiful now. Pour with a roast leg of lamb. The Delas winery was founded in 1835 and is owned by the Champagne house Louis Roederer, which produces the popular Cristal.

Food pairings: prime rib roast, pulled pork sammies, grilled meats in a black bean sauce.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Lovely value for this Cote-du-Rhone, made from 40% Grenache, 40% Syrah, and 20% Cinsault. Aromas of cherry and raspberry along with hints of chalky stone, violets, and a hint of sweet tobacco. Dry on the palate with slight, drying tannins. Fruit is tart and bright, balanced with hints of floral and mineral tones. There is a nice hit of acidity through the palate that really brings everything in balance. Enjoy with pan seared duck.
Delas Saint-Esprit 2020 is a great value 40% Grenache, 40% Syrah and 20% Cinsault red wine blend under $20. Spicy on the nose with cinnamon, clove and ripe red cherry, concentrated and zesty on the palate with pink florals, ripe red berry, cherry, and soft citrus flavours with a long and luxurious finish. - Community Wine Reviews
