d'Arenberg's The Hermit Crab is a white wine blend of Viognier with a third in Marsanne grapes. Silky smooth and full on the palate with stone fruit, white florals, ripe pear and tropical fruit flavours. Delicious now. "The Hermit Crab" is so named for the reclusive crab that long-ago were known to reside in South Australia, but also for the French "Hermitage" wine region home to the Marsanne grape.

Viognier Marsanne food pairings: spicy tuna and salmon sashimi, wild rice cranberry stuffed Cornish hens, veal cutlet in creamy mushroom sauce.

The Hermit Crab 2018 is creamy and mouth-filling with creamy stone-fruit, lemon curd and honeyed orchard fruit flavours on the palate. So much to enjoy here. Pair with roast chicken. - Community Wine Reviews
