Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Inviting dark berry and vanilla nose. Fruit flavours are more tart on the palate. Dry and balanced; excellent with roast pork or smoked meat sandwich.
Tasted Sept. 2018
Crew 2016 Merlot comes from the Lake Erie North Shore wine region in Ontario. For CREW, being a small family-owned and -operated winery is a point of considerable pride and the Merlot 2016 vintage was a strong one for this are. Lots of ripe plum, savoury herbs and earthy spice on this Merlot. Pair with roast partridge or bison burgers. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
