Love the black pepper and dark spice on the nose of this big Italian red wine. Amazing price for such quality. Black fleshy berry aromas and flavours. Smooth and delicious. Where's my hamburger please?

Reviews and Ratings

Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is a big wine with lots of taste and aroma. It's fruity, with plums and black cherries, it's oak-ey with aromas of leather, cloves, black pepper, and vanilla, and it's got mouth filling tastes of plum, blackberry, and spices. Great acidity with a long black cherry finish as well. I can see this pairing nicely with roasted red meat or stews, but it was fabulous on its own.
Produced by San Cassiano, there's a structured, gleaming frame of tannins on this full-Italian red wine is made by the ripasso method that concentrates the wine's flavour and depth. Black cherry on the nose and palate here. Solid finish. - Community Wine Reviews
