Reviews and Ratings

Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Trollinger is a grape not commonly seen in Ontario. The majority of the vines are situated in Germany in the Württemberg region near the town of Stuttgart. My research tells me it's also known as Schiava in Italy - a grape most may be more familiar with.

This is a "Trocken" (dry) light bodied red with aromas of fresh cherry and strawberry. I chilled it slightly and would recommend this be done before consuming. The colour of the wine isn't as light as a rosé but it has a somewhat similar drinking profile. Crisp and easy drinking with low acidity and tannins.

An affordable, every day table wine this would pair well with a charcuterie board, pasta dishes or light meats such as pork or chicken.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
