Reviews and Ratings

Craig Haynes WSET3 FWS rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

The Saint Laurent was crafted by a cooperative in Württemberg, a red wine centric production area in Germany. Aromatically modest, it offered a concentrated medium bodied, dark fruit flavour dominant palate. With soft tannins, this dry red wine was round and flavourful from its palate through its medium length finish. Württemberg is red wine centric production area because two thirds of its vines are red varieties. Enjoy.

Lori Kilmartin - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A medium bodied red from the Württemberg region of Germany.

Fermentation on the skins for almost 14 days gives the wine a dark cherry colour. Aromas of ripe fruit; blackberry and black cherry and some peppery spice. The wine is matured in large wooden casks so the tannins are smooth. Soft mouthfeel with flavours of black fruit. Well balanced fruit and acidity.

Pair with grilled sausage or burgers.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
