Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Produced by Denis & Florence Debourdieu, Clos Floridene Grand Vin de Graves 2018 is deep ruby in the glass, fresh and fragrant on the nose with ripe cherry, fresh violets, nutmeg and vanilla aromas. This is an elegant, left bank Bordeaux red wine blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot, dry, medium-plus-bodied with juicy cherry, fresh violets, baking spice flavours with a hint of dried tobacco leaf matched with balanced acidity and a medium-plus-length finish on the palate. Oak spice is well-integrated, and tannins are sticky and grippy. Still quite youthful and the wine would benefit from some time in cellar to come together and start to show its best. Try in 2023. A good cellaring candidate to 2028. Pair with roast beef dinner. Tasted October 2021.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
