A Zinfandel with great finesse and length. More elegant like Cabernet but still with Zinfandel's vibrant black and purple berry/plums aromas. Lovely. Perfect for BBQ wings and ribs.

Zinfandel food pairings: aged cheddar, grilled duck breast, Italian sausage burgers, cheese pizza.

Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Big, bold nose of black fruit - plum, prune and blackberry - characteristic of Zinfandel, supported with black cherry, cracked black pepper, dried blueberries and vanilla on the palate. Well integrated layers, lingering mocha on the finish.
From Napa Valley, Clos Du Val (2014) is a vibrant Zinfandel with 20% Petite Sirah giving the wine dark berry, cherry and plum flavours wrapped up with vanilla and wood smoke from oak treatment. Very easy to like and drink. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
