Lovely balance and elegance in the glass. Generous aromas of espresso and black plum give way to a mouth-filling luscious on the palate. While this wine is immediately enjoyable, it will also do well in the cellar. Enjoy it with pork tenderloin tonight.

Merlot food pairings: roast duck in a pomegranate walnut sauce, lamb kebabs.

Reviews and Ratings

Darlene Myers - CAPS Student rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

I love a good California Merlot, especially with grilled pork. This Merlot has a hint of mocha and cedar that goes hand in hand with grilled pork. Ripe plums and black cherries with a hint of spice from the oak, make for a spectacular wine.
This is a generous Merlot that shows great character in a quietly authoritative manner. Woodsmoke, milk chocolate, plum and blueberry notes please on both the nose and palate. This drinks softly but definitely carries a big flavour stick. Well structured and balanced with well-positioned tannins and a very enjoyable finish. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, Aug. 2012
